About Ben

Ben Flanagan was called to the Ontario bar in 2013, the Alberta bar in 2017, and the British Columbia bar in 2020. His practice focuses on cyber incident response and breach counsel work, and he has acted as breach counsel in more than 1,000 cyber incidents, including ransomware attacks, business email compromise, and funds transfer fraud, serving as one of the firm's global leaders in this area. He also maintains a broader litigation practice in commercial disputes, privacy and data protection, insurance law, construction, administrative law, and environmental matters, and assists organizations with incident response planning and privacy compliance. He has represented clients from small and medium enterprises to multinationals across financial services, healthcare, government, construction, and professional services.
