About Ilse

Ilse Torres Quezada is a dual-qualified lawyer licensed to practise in both Canada and Mexico, and owns and operates Lexse Law in Edmonton. She obtained her Jalisco State and Mexican federal licences in 2013 after interning at the Fourth Civil Court of Puerto Vallarta and serving as a Legal Representative for the Municipal Government of Puerto Vallarta. After relocating to Canada, Torres Quezada completed the Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway Program at the University of Alberta in 2022, articled and worked as an associate at a downtown Edmonton firm, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2024. She now represents Canadian and Latino clients in criminal law, family law, real estate, and immigration matters, as well as cross-border matters involving Mexico, and provides notary public and commissioner for oaths services. In 2025 she received the inaugural Rising Star Award at the ITL Conference and Gala in Calgary.
