Asher maintains a diverse practice spanning civil and commercial litigation, defamation, insurance, employment law, personal injury, long-term disability, professional misconduct, and administrative and constitutional law. He has appeared at every level of court in Ontario as well as at the Supreme Court of Canada, and became a partner at a Bay Street firm just five years after being called to the bar. He's licensed to practice in both Ontario and Alberta. Asher's commentary has appeared in the National Post and the Toronto Star, and his scholarly work has been cited by the Supreme Court of Canada. He co-founded two legal organizations, Advocates for the Rule of Law and the Runnymede Society, and in 2020 received Queen's Law's Dan Soberman Outstanding Young Alumni Award. He attended Huron College at the University of Western Ontario before earning his law degree at Queen's University.
