About Jordan Honickman Barristers

Jordan Honickman Barristers is a civil litigation firm with four lawyers, based in downtown Toronto with additional offices in London and Ottawa. Partners Michael Jordan and Asher Honickman had worked together for over a decade before they formed the firm in 2021. The practice represents both plaintiffs and defendants across Ontario, taking on matters that range from contract disputes and defamation to employment, insurance, long term disability, personal injury, and professional discipline and public law cases.

Michael Jordan has practiced as a Bay Street litigator since being called to the bar in 2004, focusing much of that career on insurance claims and long term disability denials. Asher Honickman, who is licensed to practice in both Ontario and Alberta, has appeared at every level of court in Ontario and before the Supreme Court of Canada. Queen's Law recognized Asher with its 2020 Dan Soberman Outstanding Young Alumni Award, and Asher went on to co-found Advocates for the Rule of Law in 2014 and the Runnymede Society in 2016, two organizations focused on constitutional law and legal education.

Senior counsel Lorne Honickman practices defamation law at the firm. Lorne spent more than twenty years as a legal specialist and broadcast journalist for Toronto's CityTV, and hosted the weekly legal affairs program Legal Briefs on Cable Pulse 24 and Court TV Canada for more than ten years.
