About Anthony

Anthony Moustacalis is a barrister and solicitor who has practised criminal law and general litigation for more than 35 years. His work extends into regulatory advocacy before the Law Society, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission, as well as the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and into civil litigation, with particular strength in white collar defence involving corporate fraud, tax, and serious provincial offences. Other counsel bring him in to argue motions, civil appeals, and judicial reviews. Anthony served twice as President of the Criminal Lawyers' Association between 2013 and 2017, after earlier terms as its Treasurer and a Toronto Director, during which he engaged government on policy and justice reform and supervised the association's interventions before Canada's highest court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He sits on the Board of The Advocates' Society and has litigated trials and appeals since 1984, handling thousands of trials and more than a hundred appeals.
