About Angela
Angela Westmacott, KC co-founded Lovett Westmacott in 1997, having begun her legal career in 1988 with the BC Ministry of Attorney General's Civil Litigation and Constitutional and Administrative Law sections. She practices administrative, constitutional, human rights, and freedom of information and privacy law, acting as general counsel for several colleges of self-governing professions and administrative tribunals, and has appeared at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada. Westmacott was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2013 and co-authored a background paper on human rights review during the BC Attorney General's Administrative Justice Project. She also works as a neutral investigator for regulators and public sector clients, and currently sits on the Law Society's Law Firm Regulation Task Force and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC's Discipline Committee.
