About Andy
Andy Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in law from Carleton University before graduating from the University of Ottawa's law school with a Bachelor of Laws in 2004. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2005 and articled and practised for more than five years at Gowling WLG, mainly in mergers and acquisitions and franchising, before joining Kelly Santini LLP and Octagon Sports in 2008 to build an athlete-representation practice. He formed what is now Scott Law Group in 2015. He has been a certified NHLPA player agent since 2008 and represents a number of top NHL players, having negotiated numerous contracts and endorsements and represented a first-round NHL draft pick in each of the past nine entry drafts. Andy has taught the Sports Law class at the University of Ottawa law school and is a Qualified Arbitrator. He is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association, the County of Carleton Law Association, the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and both ADR Institute chapters, and co-chairs the Martini Madness fundraiser for Crohn's and Colitis Canada.
