About Andrew

Andrew Sowerby is a Partner in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office, practising mainly in insurance defence, commercial litigation, and regulated professions. He represents insurers responding to claims from automobile accidents, property damage, and allegations of professional, product, occupiers' and municipal liability, as well as coverage disputes. Andrew also represents parties in real property and commercial disputes, including acting for expropriating entities and individuals facing expropriation. He has appeared before all levels of court in Nova Scotia and before the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board and other tribunals, and acts as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association. He earned his BA Honours from the University of King's College in 2003 and his law degree from Dalhousie in 2008, and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2009.
