About Andrew
Andrew Moeser is a partner at Lenczner Slaght whose work centers on intellectual property litigation, though he also handles judicial reviews and disputes over contaminated property. A background that combines law with science sets him apart: he holds a master's degree in biology and once coordinated a phase III clinical trial. That mix of skills serves him well in patent cases touching pharmaceuticals, biologics, information technology, and oil and gas, as well as trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes involving software, gaming, and beauty products. He has argued before every level of court in Ontario, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, and the Alberta Court of Appeal, and has acted pro hac vice on international teams handling large cross-border matters. Andrew also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, supervising a clinic that supports a not-for-profit consortium doing early-stage medical research. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2010 after earning his JD from the University of Toronto and both an MSc and BSc in biology from McGill.
