About Andrea

Andrea Rowe was born in Nova Scotia and, as part of a military family, lived across Canada and Western Europe. She earned a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University in 1981 and served as a public affairs officer in the Canadian Armed Forces before earning her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1988 and articling with the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She obtained a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto in 1990 and practiced pensions, trusts, and estate law at a national Toronto firm until 1996, when she moved to the Comox Valley and joined Swift Datoo. Her practice emphasizes estate planning, corporate law, and land development, with particular interest in trusts for persons with disabilities and land conservation covenants.
