About Lynda

Lynda Stokes joined Young Anderson in November 2023, focusing mainly on solicitor and advisory work for local governments and regional boards, with an emphasis on real property transactions, land use regulation and development, Indigenous relations, municipal services, environmental issues, bylaw drafting, utilities, and public procurement. Her representative work includes road and park land exchanges, complex First Nation service and land agreements, railway crossing agreements, and Canadian Transportation Agency authorizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from McGill University and a law degree from the University of Alberta, and was called to the bar in Alberta in 1999 and in British Columbia in 2000.
