About Martin

Martin Peters joined RTG Law Group as senior associate counsel. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1986, then practised and became a partner at Shibley Righton & McCutcheon in Toronto. He started his own firm in 1994 and practised criminal law in the Toronto region until 2003, when he returned to Vancouver and was called to the British Columbia Bar. His practice focuses on criminal law, with a particular interest in homicide cases involving mentally disordered individuals. He volunteers as a supervising lawyer with the UBC Law School's Legal Advice Clinic at the Allard School of Law.
