About Amarkai

Amarkai Laryea maintains a bilingual practice advancing the rights of unions, workers, and individuals, with extensive experience in labour, human rights, and administrative law. He provides strategic advice to unions on internal matters and external campaigns, represents athletes in Safe Sport and doping-related disputes, and sits on Canada Soccer's Disciplinary Panel. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004 after earning his BCL/JD from McGill University, and he co-founded the Workers' Education and Rights Collective. He previously served as a senior leader in the legal services department of one of Canada's largest unions and as an executive union member and staff representative for both private and public sector unions.
