She has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and the Federal Court of Canada, and has pursued First Nation treaty benefit claims before the Specific Claims Tribunal. Before law school she worked as a journalist for the Edmonton Journal and the Calgary Herald covering Alberta politics and social affairs. She has served on the board of the Edmonton Community Legal Centre since 2005 and the board of Pro Bono Law Alberta since 2012.
