About Allison

As a tax litigation lawyer, Allison represents individual and corporate clients in tax disputes before the Tax Court of Canada and in CRA audits and disputes. She has developed expertise in Clean Economy Investment Tax Credits, including the Clean Hydrogen and Clean Technology Investment Tax Credits, and works with energy clients developing renewable energy projects. Allison also advises on international taxation, tax residency issues, and charitable registration matters. She earned her LLM in Tax from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018, an LLB from the University of New Brunswick in 2008, and a BBA (Hons.) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2005. She was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 2009 and holds the King's Counsel designation, awarded in 2024. She has served as Managing Partner of the St. John's office since 2024 and chairs the CBA-NL Tax Law section.
