About Alisa

Alisa Parikh leads PooranLaw's Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, with a practice covering criminal and civil litigation. Before joining the firm she ran her own practice litigating before the Consent and Capacity Board and the Ontario Review Board, advocating for people found incapable of managing property or making treatment decisions and those detained involuntarily in health care facilities. She was previously an associate at a large Toronto criminal law firm, appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice, and articled at a firm specializing in mental health law. She holds a J.D. from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law.
