About Alexandre

Alexandre Grenier joined RBD when it opened in January 2016 and became senior partner in January 2019, also serving as managing partner from 2021 to 2023. He earned his law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2000 and was called to the Barreau du Québec in March 2002. Between 2002 and 2005 he worked at two firms specializing in union-side labour law, with a year at the International Labour Office in Geneva in between. From 2005 to 2015 he worked for the Syndicat des employées et employés professionnels-les et de bureau, appearing before arbitration tribunals, the CLP, the CRT, and Quebec's Superior Court and Court of Appeal. Grenier represents unions and employees across sectors including education, health and social services, banking, retail, transportation, construction, energy, forestry, telecommunications and aerospace, and also negotiates on behalf of unions with private employers and government. He advises non-unionized employees on termination and employment-contract issues, and has been recognized annually since 2020 as a Best Lawyer in Canada for labour and employment law.
