Alexander Hobbs advises businesses and governments on international trade, economic sanctions, export controls, competition law, and procurement. He represents clients before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, Canada Border Services Agency, and Federal Courts of Canada on disputes under trade agreements including CUSMA, CPTPP, CETA, and the Canada-Korea FTA. He earned his J.D. with an international law concentration from the University of Ottawa, receiving the Gowling WLG award for highest standing in international trade law, a B.A. from Brock University, and an M.A. in International Economic Policy from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.
