About Alexander
Alexander Cobb is a commercial litigator with a broad practice emphasizing securities and taxation matters. He advises issuers and shareholders in court proceedings involving shareholder remedies, corporate governance, and corporate transactions, and acts for market participants in investigations and proceedings before securities regulatory authorities. Alexander Cobb has an active tax litigation practice representing taxpayers before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and various provincial courts, and he has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario as well as appellate courts in other provinces. He has represented clients before the Ontario Securities Commission, the Financial Services Tribunal, and CIRO, and has chaired the Tax Litigation practice group of the Advocates' Society. He holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
