About Alex
Alex is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office recognized for his expertise in all types of intellectual property litigation, with a specialty in high-stakes patent litigation. He has significant trial experience and numerous reported decisions spanning patent, trademark and industrial design infringement and impeachment actions, judicial reviews and cases under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations. He also advises pharmaceutical clients on regulatory issues such as patent listing, data protection and certificates of supplementary protection. Alex is a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa where he has taught Intellectual Property Law to upper-year law students for ten years.
