About Alex
Alex Farrant is an associate in Osler's Disputes group and a member of its Regulatory, Indigenous and Environmental practice. Alex maintains a general civil and commercial litigation practice and advises clients on a range of regulatory matters. Alex earned a J.D. from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Carleton University with a minor in Environmental Studies, focusing on Law, Government and Policy, and graduated with High Distinction. During law school, Alex worked as a research assistant to Professor Bethany Hastie on constitutional, labour and administrative law issues, and volunteered with UBC's International Justice and Human Rights Clinic alongside the All-Party Parliamentary Group to End Modern Slavery. Alex practised with an international law firm in Vancouver before joining Osler's Toronto office and has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia. Alex is licensed to practise law in Ontario and British Columbia.
