About Ajith

Ajith Thiyagalingam is an associate lawyer at Korman & Korman LLP specializing in immigration and refugee law and international human rights law. He previously worked as an Immigration Staff Lawyer with Legal Aid Ontario and as Legal Counsel at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and advised the Legal Resources Centre, a public interest law clinic in South Africa. He sits as Vice President of the Board of Directors of JusticeNet and on the Board of Directors of CAYR Community Connections, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto. He received a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master of Arts in International Law and Diplomacy from UNITAR and the University for Peace, and an Honours B.A. summa cum laude from York University, and is currently pursuing a further Master's in International Human Rights Law at the University of Oxford.
