About Kamin Fisher Law

Kamin Fisher Law is a family law firm in Windsor, Ontario. Its full legal name, Kamin, Fisher, Burnett, Ziriada and Robertson, traces back to 1942, when the late Morris Kamin, QC established the practice. It has grown into a partnership that today includes family law lawyers Ian R. Fisher, Ronald Burnett, and Karen M. Robertson, working from an office on Devonshire Road in Windsor's Walkerville neighbourhood.

Fisher, called to the Ontario bar in 1971, has held Law Society certification as a specialist in family law since 1990 and sat on the Law Society's inaugural family law specialization committee. Burnett, called to the bar in 1975, has held the same certification since 1992 and has represented the Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Society in child protection matters since 1991. Robertson, a graduate of the University of Western Ontario's law school, has also represented that same Children's Aid Society since 1991 and has taught child welfare law at the University of Windsor. The firm's practice covers divorce, separation agreements, spousal and child support, property division, custody and access, and mediation, and it says it tries to resolve matters by agreement before a case goes to trial.
