About Ronald
Ronald Burnett was called to the bar in 1975 and has practised family and civil litigation since that time, with extensive trial experience in family law and child welfare. He has appeared in all levels of Ontario courts, including the Ontario Court of Justice (Family Division), the Superior Court of Justice, the Unified Family Court, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal, in both family and child welfare matters. He has been certified by the Law Society as a specialist in family law and has held that certification continuously since 1992. Since 1991 he has represented the Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Society, including at expunction hearings and related Tribunal and appellate proceedings, and he has also represented the Chatham-Kent Children's Services and the Sarnia-Lambton Children's Aid Society. He has developed and delivered training programs and Continuing Legal Education lectures on child welfare law, including for the Bar Admission Course in Windsor.
