About Mobility Law

Mobility Law is a business immigration firm at 33 Bloor Street East, near Yonge and Bloor in downtown Toronto. It has practised immigration law since 1985, when it was known as Rekai LLP, working with companies and individuals who move people across the Canada to U.S. border. Its work covers work permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments, permanent residence applications, and citizenship matters, for clients in academia, construction, financial services, engineering, entertainment, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, retail, sports, and transportation.

Peter Rekai and Eleanor Somerleigh, both admitted to the Ontario bar after earning law degrees from Queen's University in 1980, still serve the firm as counsel. Rekai is a Law Society of Ontario certified specialist in immigration law, has testified before the Parliamentary Committee on Citizenship and Immigration, and has written about Canada to U.S. border issues for the C.D. Howe Institute. Somerleigh is licensed to practise law in both Ontario and Colorado. The firm's managing legal director, Alia Rosenstock, worked as in house counsel for a Toronto artist and talent management agency before returning to private practice in 2017, a background that lines up with the firm's stated work for clients in the entertainment and sports industries.
