Mathews Samac LLP is a small civil and commercial litigation firm based in Toronto, with a second office in Oakville. Thomas Mathews and Joshua Samac, described by the firm as longtime colleagues, founded the practice around a shared focus on commercial litigation and courtroom advocacy. Mathews is a member of the Bars of both Ontario and Quebec, trained in common law and civil law, so the firm can act for clients in Toronto and Montreal alike, including matters before the Quebec Superior Court and the Federal Court of Canada. Samac leads the firm's corporate and commercial litigation practice, appearing before Toronto's Commercial List, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and Ontario's Divisional Court.

The firm concentrates on commercial disputes, shareholder and oppression claims, competition litigation coordinated with the Law Office of Calvin Goldman, K.C., a former head of the Competition Bureau, and urgent remedies such as Mareva asset freezing injunctions.
