About William

William S. Klym is senior counsel at DD West LLP. He was called to the Alberta bar in 1974 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba (1973). He has practised law in Calgary for more than 40 years, appearing at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada, and served as co-counsel in the Charter case R. v. Big M Drug Mart. He practises in civil litigation, class actions, and Indigenous law, and has represented plaintiffs in the 2011 Lake Manitoba flood class action.
