About Warren

Warren Godfrey is a partner at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP, where he works across the Commercial Litigation and Entertainment Law practice groups. He mainly handles general business, real estate, and entertainment disputes, including contract disagreements, corporate governance and shareholder conflicts, injunctions, lease disputes, and wrongful dismissal claims. On the entertainment side he has acted for production companies, individual artists, and media companies, and he regularly brings petitions before the Supreme Court to affirm the contracts of minor actors in British Columbia. He has argued matters before the Federal Court, the BC Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the Provincial Court, as well as before the Labour Relations Board and the Civil Resolution Tribunal. Before moving to Canada he practised civil litigation in South Africa. He earned his law degree at the University of British Columbia in 2016, holds a certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode Hall, and was called to the South African bar in 2010 and the British Columbia bar in 2017.
