About Walter

Walter Kosteckyj is the principal of Oceanside Law Corp. and practises primarily through the Vancouver firm of Kosteckyj and Parhar, serving Vancouver Island clients from Qualicum Beach. Before attending law school he served as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, achieving the highest graduating marks in his troop and working as an operational policeman, experience he draws on in preparing and presenting cases. He attended law school at the University of Saskatchewan, where he represented the school at the Gale Cup Moot and was selected as class valedictorian, and was chosen as law clerk to the Chief Justice of Saskatchewan upon graduation. Walter has handled cases at every level of court in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Alberta, including the high-profile case of Robert Dziekanski, and is known for his work in personal injury and criminal matters.
