About Doug
Doug Torrie graduated from the UBC Faculty of Law in 1987 and was called to the BC Bar in 1988. Before moving to Vancouver Island in 1992, he practised corporate and commercial transactions at a Vancouver firm of over 50 lawyers. His practice remains focused on commercial and business matters, including business purchases and sales, commercial lending for financial institutions, corporate reorganizations, company law, commercial leasing, and commercial real estate transactions. He is a director of the Nanaimo Division of Family Practice and a former Vice-Chair of the Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation.
