About Michael

Michael Cantwell was born and raised on Vancouver Island and joined CR Lawyers LLP as an associate in 2017 after returning to Campbell River. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Vancouver Island University in 2014 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2017, and was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2018. His practice focuses on family law, family mediation, and civil litigation, and he received family law mediator accreditation from the Law Society of British Columbia in 2022. He works with clients through both litigation and mediation on separation and divorce matters, including parenting arrangements, property division, and support payments. He previously served as treasurer of the Campbell River Bar Association.
