About Vivekananthan

Vivekananthan Sasitharan was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2016. He began his legal training at the Sri Lanka Law College, passing his final year exam with honors, and was sworn in as an Attorney-at-law before Sri Lanka's Chief Justice and two Supreme Court judges in December 2000. He then practised alongside his father and brother, appearing in civil, criminal and commercial matters in Sri Lanka's district, commercial high, high and appellate courts, with some of his cases reported in the Sri Lanka Law Report and Bar Association Law Journal. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Computer based System and Management and an Australian Computer Society certificate. He belongs to the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations as well as the Sri Lanka Bar Association and the Colombo Law Society.
