About Violette

Leblanc is a lawyer and partner who joined Belleau Lapointe more than a decade ago and has developed particular expertise managing complex litigation. Her practice involves coordinating the strategic aspects of complex files and advising the firm's lawyers on advanced legal questions, with a specialization in appellate procedure. Her tactical skill and deep knowledge of consumer protection law and civil and commercial law make her a key contributor to the firm's class action and shareholder dispute practices. She has been involved in numerous class actions across Quebec and Canada that have helped shape the province's class action jurisprudence, and recently led negotiations on behalf of Quebec consumers in a national settlement worth more than two billion dollars in the Volkswagen diesel emissions case. She has been recognized as a Benchmark Litigation Future Star since 2020.
