Employment & Labour LawLina Aristeo is the founder of Plūme, admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2002. Before founding the firm she spent years in the union movement in Canada and the United States, including as vice-president of an international union, vice-president of the FTQ's executive board, and executive vice-president of one of Quebec's largest private-sector unions, where she co-chaired insurance and pension funds and led industrial collective bargaining. Since leaving the labour movement in 2012, she has represented employers exclusively, advising small and mid-sized businesses as well as large public and private organizations in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and the United States on labour relations and employment law. She is a member of the Barreau du Québec and the Association des juristes Italo-Canadiens, and sits on the board of the SDC District Central, where she chairs the governance committee.
