About Varun
Varun Dhaul is an associate in Richards Buell Sutton's Business Law Group, advising clients from both the Vancouver and Surrey offices. His practice focuses on business and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and employment matters, and he regularly assists investors and entrepreneurs with incorporations, shareholder agreements, and other operational matters across a range of industries. He also assists clients with real estate transactions and is a member of the firm's Technology and Innovation Group. Fluent in Punjabi, Varun is active in the firm's South Asian Practice Group and volunteers with Guru Nanak's Free Kitchen, which serves residents of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and the Lower Mainland. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria, with an exchange program in Poland, before working as an analyst in commercial real estate and fintech, and later earned his J.D. from Thompson Rivers University in 2023. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 2024.
