About Vanessa

Vanessa Locicero is an associate at Barriston LLP who practises exclusively in estate litigation, working out of the Barrie and Collingwood offices. Before joining the firm in 2026, she sharpened her advocacy skills at boutique litigation firms and ran her own solicitor practice in Collingwood. Her background spans commercial litigation, catastrophic personal injury, corporate and commercial matters, contracts, and estate and trust planning, which helps her spot risk and conflicts early. She earned an Honours BA from Queen's University in 2011 and later graduated from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2017, where she competed in moot court and placed second individually in the Davies Corporate/Commercial Moot. Vanessa was called to the Ontario bar in June 2018 and has since completed Osgoode certificate programs in negotiation, wills and estates, and estate litigation. She also mentors new entrepreneurs and sits on two local nonprofit boards.
