Travis Walker is a partner on the cybersecurity and data privacy team who acts as external privacy counsel and breach coach in response to security and privacy breaches including ransomware, data theft, business email compromise and social engineering. He represents clients from financial services, energy, mining, health care, transportation, telecommunications and education sectors, guiding them through breach response and remediation including forensic retention and regulatory notification. He also advises on federal and provincial access to information laws, helps organizations establish privacy and data governance policies, and has represented data controllers and service providers in disputes arising from data loss and unauthorized access.
