About Traci

Traci L. Bannister is a partner at Boyes Tiefenbach Bannister Family Law Counsel LLP. She practiced family law and mediation in South Africa for 20 years before moving to Calgary in 2012, requalifying as a lawyer in Alberta and being called to the Alberta Bar in June 2015. Traci has practiced exclusively in family law since 2015, appearing at every level of Alberta's courts and handling mediation and other alternate dispute resolution processes. She has co-authored an article on the consideration of culture in Canadian courtrooms for the Family Court Review journal. Traci earned her BJuris and LLB, cum laude, from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa (now Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) in 1992, and was admitted as an attorney of the Supreme Court of South Africa in 1995.
