About Judy
Judy N. Boyes, K.C. is counsel at Boyes Tiefenbach Bannister Family Law Counsel LLP, where she has practiced family law for more than 40 years. She is a trained mediator, arbitrator and collaborative lawyer who advises on matrimonial property, corporate and trust issues, spousal and child support, estate litigation, and legal professional liability matters, and has appeared at every level of court in Alberta. Judy was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1980, served as a Bencher from 2004 to 2006, and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2000 (now King's Counsel). She was named Lawyer of the Year in Family Law by Best Lawyers in 2019 and has taught trial advocacy at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law for more than ten years. She received the Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Gold Key Award in 2002.
