About Tom
Tom Doust is a Vancouver criminal defence and trial lawyer who has practised almost exclusively in criminal law since being called to the bar in British Columbia in 1995. He has appeared in most Provincial and Supreme Courts throughout BC, handling serious matters including murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, drug trafficking, major frauds, and alleged sex crimes, as well as driving offences, bail matters, and fraud and white-collar crime cases. Tom comes from a family of lawyers; his father, Leonard T. Doust, Q.C., and his brother Stephen are also lawyers. He maintains a network of experts, including polygraph examiners, psychiatrists, private investigators, forensic financial investigators, and accident reconstructionists, to support his defence work.
