About Timothy
Timothy Hughes is a partner at Osler and co-chairs the firm's Tax Group, leading its capital markets tax practice. He advises on a broad range of corporate finance transactions, from conventional IPOs and private placements to hybrid securities, Basel III capital instruments, securitizations, and derivatives. His clients include Canadian and foreign financial institutions, investment banks, dealers, and exchanges, along with domestic and offshore hedge funds, pension plans, and mutual funds. Timothy has served two terms on Osler's Partnership Board and chairs the firm's UK Desk.
