About Tim

Tim Phillips is a partner at Blakes focused on capital markets transactions and securities regulatory matters. He advises issuers, underwriters, dealers, fund managers and other market participants on Canadian capital markets and derivatives regulation. He joined Blakes in 2015 after practising U.S. bankruptcy, securities and derivatives law in New York. He teaches international securities regulation at Osgoode Hall Law School's LLM program and has authored articles on industry and academic matters.
