About Thomas
Thomas A. Roper, K.C., is a founding partner of Roper Greyell, advising employers on all aspects of employment law and labour relations for over five decades. In 1992 he was appointed by the Minister of Labour to a three-person panel that reviewed and proposed revisions to the BC Labour Relations Code, leading to major legislative changes. He is a past president of the Human Resources Management Association of British Columbia and a former member of the Board of Governors of the Business Council of British Columbia, and received the 2022 Bora Laskin Award for his contributions to Canadian labour law. He holds an LLB from UBC, was called to the British Columbia bar in 1975, and was appointed Queen's Counsel (now King's Counsel) in 1998.
