About Taras
Taras Kulish is Counsel in Mills & Mills LLP's Business Law Group, bringing more than 30 years of experience with a focus on charity and not-for-profit law as well as intellectual property. He has hands-on experience in the charity sector, having served as a director for the Canadian affiliate of an international NGO, and he represents churches, mosques, synagogues, and other faith-based groups along with various foundations and service organizations in Ontario. In intellectual property, his clients include app developers, food and beverage manufacturers, record labels, live music venues, pharmacy chains, and other varied businesses. He is a Canadian trademark agent registered with CIPO and, as a member of the New York Bar, also practices before the USPTO as a U.S. trademark attorney. Taras completed McGill University's bilingual National Program at the Faculty of Law, giving him training in both common law and civil law, and he was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993. He also holds memberships in the Quebec Bar and the New York Bar, and leads Mills & Mills' 'Expanding Business to Canada' conference series while serving as President of the Ukrainian Canadian Bar Association.
