About Talal
Talal Chehab is the managing partner of Affinity Law, with a practice focused on corporate and commercial law for clients ranging from small business entrepreneurs to public companies. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto in 1984 and a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, in 1987, and was called to the bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1989. He established his own law firm in 1993 and continues to lead it today with his associates. His practice includes raising capital for public and private companies, shariah compliant financing, corporate acquisitions, share and asset purchase transactions, shareholder agreements, franchising, secured lending, and joint venture and distribution agreements. He served on the board and chaired the audit committee of ECU Silver Mining Inc. from 2005 to 2011, and is currently a director of Golden Tag Resources Inc., a TSX Venture listed gold mining company, having previously served on its board and audit committee from 2005 to 2010. He also co-founded and serves as President and CEO of AYA Financial Inc., which specializes in shariah compliant financing structures.
