About Susan
A partner and head of the Intellectual Property Department in the firm's Hamilton office, Susan Tandan is an experienced patent agent registered in both Canada and the United States with nearly 30 years of experience in both private practice and in-house roles with a research-based biotechnology company. She works with research organizations such as universities, hospitals and government ministries, and represents corporate clients at various stages from startup to established business. She is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, Life Sciences Ontario and the Associate of University Technology Managers, and regularly lectures on intellectual property protection strategies.
