About Sunny

Sunny Lu received her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2019. Before joining Merchant Law Group, she articled and practised at a boutique firm in Calgary, Alberta, focusing on immigration, wills and estates, and family law. She has assisted clients with temporary residence visas, sponsorships for spouses, children and other relatives, economic immigration through provincial programs, humanitarian and compassionate applications, refugee claims and hearings, and appeals to the Immigration Appeal Division, the Refugee Appeal Division and the Federal Court. Lu regularly presents public legal education workshops in British Columbia and Alberta.
