About Jennifer

Jennifer Trotti is an Indigenous lawyer (Barrister & Solicitor) who began working with her father, Samuel D. Stevens, the founder of Stevens & Company, in 2009. She has represented survivors of Indigenous class actions, including the Independent Assessment Process for Indian Residential School hearings, the Federal Indian Day School Class Action, and the Indian Boarding Home Program claims process, and also provides legal services in Aboriginal law, employment law, and human rights law. Over more than 15 years she has conducted more than 500 trauma-informed and culturally sensitive interviews and investigations. She worked at the grassroots level in band offices before becoming a practising lawyer, and now leads the family firm following her father's death in 2023.
