About Steve

Steve Fruitman is a founding partner of Magellan Lawyers LLP, practising in business law with a focus on corporate, commercial, securities, and trust matters. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Economics from the University of Toronto in 1985, worked as an actuary for four years, and then obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1998. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 2000 and in British Columbia in 2003, after articling and practising at one of Canada's largest law firms. His work covers business structures, corporate governance, purchase and sale of businesses, corporate reorganizations, private financings, and partnership and shareholder agreements. He serves on the Board of Directors for the B.C. Epilepsy Society and has raised funds through the B.C. Lung Association's Bicycle Trek for Life & Breath.
