About Stephen

Stephen is a founding partner of Christie/Cummings who advises clients on corporate law, estate planning and administration, and residential and commercial real estate. Before founding the firm in 1991, he was a partner at a mid-sized Toronto law firm, and earlier served as in-house counsel for an international mining company. His corporate and estate planning practice includes helping clients create inter vivos and testamentary trusts and guiding family businesses through generational transitions. Stephen also advises trustees and other fiduciaries and has served as a court-appointed guardian of property and as an executor and estate trustee on various estates. He's a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School and has served on the boards of Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and Alpine Ontario.
